I was browsing through some of our photos from our last trip to Italy. I am going to have to get the hang of taking these self portraits like the kids do. They are so good at it. If I am not mindful, I will return with lots of photos of historical and artistic grandeur but not a trace of our own personal journey. We may have to enlist the help of complete strangers. Now that's a novel idea!

I love photos like this Kathleen...makes me fall in love with Italy all over again...Fantastic shot of you and your daughter, a keeper! I am still getting the hang of self portraits too..it seems to get more challenging the older I get... :)

I'm also guilty of returning with photo after photo of the area, the people, the beauty -- and no record of me being there! The few pictures that somehow crept into the mix are some of my favorites. Yes, be mindful to be mindful!
