Victoria has been teasing me lately
about my obsession with chandeliers
and sconces and lanterns and so on and so on.
We recently bought a new condo in South Bend
and I have been busy picking out lighting
and colors and furniture and hardware.
My husband picked out all of the appliances
in one outing to the appliance store.
He makes it all look so easy as I research
and compare and fret over each and every design element.
Still searching for dining room chairs and bedding
but I am "mostly" done.
Our village's premier home furnishing store
has decided to call it quits after 52 years of service.
It was sad for them but very timely and lucky
for us as I picked up some fabulous pieces
at wonderful savings. Yay!
I have also been putting some of
my photos from Italy
into books.
As you can see, lighting was on my mind
during that trip too!
I think you and I are in the same boat!
We have just finished moving in to the new place and I have no dining room chairs either.
And on top of that, it was Fred who picked out the Fridge. Although it was not the one I wanted.
I think we married the same man.
Good luck with your lighting search!

We need to get your pictures into Blurb books... they would be fabulous.

I feel for you. I know that feeling quite well in fact, but it's quite nice. :) I love decorating, it's our chance to show off our creative side.

Hi Kathleen -- Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I moved last year and lost track of my favorite blogs for a while. Tonight I was perusing my old Mayberry Magpie files and found my link here. Hope all is well with you and your family. I think of you every time I wear my lovely Buddha necklace.
