Have you ever had a day or (days!) when you feel like you are running and running and running in circles? Sometimes in my head, sometimes in my body, but wherever I find them they are definitely circles! Circles have been symbolic of the Sacred since our ancestors walked this earth in ancient times. Circles have brought comfort and inclusion when we gathered around a fire for protection and camaraderie. Circles have represented equality and sisterhood with no person standing at the head, each as important as the next. Circles have signaled the Divine when we place them around the heads of those we hold Holy. As I sit with my "circles" today, I will contemplate their message on a deeper level. I will try to release the tension of the "circle" and look for the gift. I will stop resisting the anxious feeling and accept my "circles" as good and holy. I will take a deep breath and practice, practice, practice.
whose circumference is nowhere
and whose center is everywhere
Ah Kathleen...as always I love what you create & your wise words. Your words always resonate & awaken me. You speak very similar to my teacher Angeles Arrien. It makes me wonder who your teachers are......

Sometimes I twirl in circles. Just for fun.

The circle metaphor is so powerful.
Interesting that "running in circles" has such a negative connotation, but it's clever that you turned it on its head in an effort to find peace.
By the way, love the torn strips of patterned paper. I'm going to play with this idea in future collages.
