Sometimes I wonder what life would have been like in earlier centuries. Would there have been more time to wander among forest and flower? More time to laugh and celebrate simple moments with family and friends? More time to spend in quiet contemplation? The more conscious I become of my choices and the way I spend my time, the more I find this century to be my dream come true.
We spent the weekend in Chicago with an evening at The Ritz. Dinner at a chic and trendy restaurant and theatre tickets to "Legally Blond" to celebrate Victoria's 16th birthday. Before we left, we had our traditional Birthday Celebration at home. Balloons and presents and cake and ice cream topped off Victoria's favorite dinner request.
These are the moments of my life. The more I can stay centered in these moments, the more I appreciate each and every one. Practice. Practice. Practice.
Kathy:
Your art is beautiful as is blog. And I really like the square photos as links along the right.
"The more I can stay centered in these moments, the more I appreciate each and every one. Practice. Practice. Practice."
I'm much better at this now that I'm a parent, but the practice admonition is so true. If your blog is evidence, you're quite good at this. Bet the kids are as proud of you as you are of them.

What a wonderful weekend with your youngest. You are clearly cherishing these moments (and perhaps unbeknownst to you, I bet she is too).

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me...I love the Tuscan colors of this piece, too.

What a lovely celebration for your daughters birthday. And this piece with it's ancient feeling and musical notes... I would call it "a time for wandering" Happy weekend to you. Roxanne
