Wow. The summer has just begun and I feel it has already gotten away from me! Victoria's last day of school was Friday and Stevie left yesterday to return to South Bend. His summer is over. Two classes and football everyday. Victoria will follow him to South Bend in a few weeks to begin her Summer Scholar program at Notre Dame in Pre- law (she is envisioning "Legally Blonde" and I hope she won't be too disappointed!) and Alex starts grad school in August. I know there are many countries where the kids go to school all year 'round but I am just not used to it. I miss the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. No alarm clocks, just sweet songbirds serenading you awake in the early morning sunshine. Life is so crazy and competitive these days for our youngsters. Sigh.
I have been "missing in action" from my blog as of late. I am in the middle of quite a few exciting new projects and I plan to be sharing them with you real soon. They have taken me out of my comfort zone "big time" and that is a good thing! I did have a couple of articles published in the online edition of MORE magazine for woman at MORE.com. I was very excited! My last post made it to the front page of the BEAUTY section!
Meanwhile, HOW ABOUT THOSE HAWKS!!! We celebrated Victoria's 17th birthday in the city and the kids went to the game. Chicago is rocking! GO BLACKHAWKS!!!
Dearest Kathleen,
If I wrote you a note every time I thought about you, you would know how special you are to me. I did notice that you were MIA for a bit, but I figured that you were busy with something new! I am very excited for you and your new project. Sometimes, when we are jerked out of our comfort zones, we realize how much more we can create! Congratulations on writing for More.com! I will definitely be checking out your work there!
I cannot believe how beautiful and grown your children are! They are gorgeous and healthy and smart! Sounds like you did a pretty darn amazing job as their mom!(so far!) My youngest two have about another week of school and my oldest two are busy with lots of projects! My 18 year old will be graduating on the 23 which is hard for me to grasp! Another one! We will be seeing our nieces on the 17th for the first time at their dance recital and I cannot wait. Enough said about that;) We did not end up before the judge, but the case will remain open. I am feeling better about the future right now, and just hope that my SIL sticks to the agreement.
Thank you for your very kind words. As always, I am very happy to hear from you!
Much love always,
Deb

Hey precious lady....
I have glanced over here a bit, & yet not much. I have definitely not been over to the blogging scene.
I just wanted to let you know that even tho' I am not here, I think of you oh so dearly. And am so grateful for you.
Much has changed this year. Still no new house or girls. But it is all unfolding perfectly.
I have started at a holistic nutrition school. I have also just started studying w/ the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers & Jyoti. I don't know if you have heard of them yet. But I have started their 2 year Ministerial Training Program. If I had gotten my girls, I am sure that I would have waited...And this work is so so rich.......
I just wanted to stop by tonite to let you know how dearly loved you are!!!
HUGE LOVE~~~~~~~~~~
